Day 1-4 Cape Town Boutique Hotel & Private Guided Tours

On arrival in Cape Town, you’ll be met at the airport and driven to Four Rosemead. The location is hard to beat: on the lower slopes of Table Mountain, close to Kloof Street’s restaurants and shops. A wonderfully comfortable boutique guest house with elegant interiors, fantastic breakfasts, and staff who are only too happy to share insider tips or book you a table at their favourite restaurant. Four days is just enough time to fall in love with Cape Town. Included in this itinerary is a private half-day tour of the city and Table Mountain. You’ll also go on a full-day private tour around the scenic Cape Peninsula, down to Cape Point and the penguins at Boulder’s Beach. And we’ve added in a full day exploring the vineyard-and-mountain scenery and grand estates of the Cape Winelands.

Day 5-8 Big 5 Safari in the Famous Sabi Sands

You’re driven to the airport for your flight to Skukuza, where you’ll be met and transferred to Idube Game Reserve. One of the most established lodges in the Sabi Sands, Idube has 10 comfortable safari chalets each with a private deck, and en-suite bathroom with both an indoor and outdoor shower. The Sabi Sands has a well-earned reputation as one of the best places in Africa to see the Big 5! And while nothing on safari is guaranteed, staying here you have a good chance of viewing lion, elephant, rhino and even the normally elusive leopard. Game drives are led by your expert guide-and-tracker team, and since this is a private reserve your guide is permitted to drive off-road getting you right up close to those big game sightings.

Day 9-10 The Smoke That Thunders, Victoria Falls

Leaving Idube, you’re driven to Kruger Airport for your international flight to Victoria Falls. Once again, you’ll be met at the airport for your private transfer - this time to Batonka Guest Lodge. This charming oasis lies outside the bustle and buzz of town, but still within walking distance of Victoria Falls. Rooms are comfortable, and the gardens and pool area are a lovely place to relax between activities. The following day, go on a guided tour of one of the 7 "Natural Wonders of the World", Victoria Falls (included). Paths lead through rainforest and onto a series of viewpoints of this spectacular waterfall! Also included is a sunset cruise on the mighty Zambezi River. And then there are all the optional activities: the ‘Flight of Angels’ helicopter flip, horse riding safaris, bungee jumping and ziplining (to name but a few).

Day 11-12 River Safaris & Tiger Fishing in Chobe

Your transfer to Ichingo Lodge includes a boat trip from Botswana across to the Namibian side of the Chobe River. This side of the river is quieter and more secluded; the lodge tucked amongst trees on Impalila Island. There are 8 tented rooms (each air-conditioned and comfortably furnished), a lounge, bar and open-air dining room set above the fast-flowing waters of the river. Game viewing centres around boat safaris, which get you up close to animals on the riverbanks and are fantastic for wildlife photography - elephant look really big from the water! Chobe is famous for its elephant herds, and there are plenty of other animals too. Birding in the area is second to none with over 450 species recorded, and sunny afternoons can be happily spent fishing for tiger fish.

Day 13 Fly to Johannesburg

Wake up to your last morning on the Chobe River, before crossing back into Botswana. A short drive takes you to Kasane International Airport for your flight back to Johannesburg (included) and your onward travel arrangements.
