Day 1-7 Ride amongst the elephants of the Tuli Block

You will be met at the airport and transferred by charter flight to your first lodge. The richly endowed Mashatu Game Reserve sits in the eastern corner of Botswana, in a region known as the Tuli Block. Horse-power is the focus of this safari, though non-riders are also welcome and may take part in game drives, bush walks and even cycling activities. Enjoy mobile fly camping and sitting around the campfire. This is the real-deal for those seeking a true down-to-earth adventure in the raw African bush. The beauty of a mobile safari is that the scenery is constantly shifting. One day you may explore an archeological site or historic battle ground, or find yourself beneath the towering monolith of a baobab. Another day you will canter through open savanna and tramp through the Limpopo, stop to catch your breath and take it all in at sunset, gin and tonic in hand.

Day 8-12 Experience the Okavango Delta by Horse

You'll then be transferred to your next lodge by charter. This five day trip between two camps has it all. Over the five days the safari takes you from their main camp, Kujwana, to their second camp, Mokolowane, with incredible riding (6hours of it to be exact) between the two. But don't be daunted by the amount of riding, the two days spent in the saddle there and back are well equipped with scenic picnic lunches and camp beds for mid day siestas, or a dip in the river. This holiday is all about relaxing and riding, interspersed with game drives or mokoro (traditional dugout canoes) trips through the peaceful waterways of the delta. Aside from the magnificent rides you'll be doing each day there are also opportunities to explore the delta either on a game drive or from a mokoro, a traditional dugout canoe. Like the horse rides, the mokoros allow you to gently meander along the waterways with little noise or disturbance to the game.
