Your driver/guide will pick you up from Kilimanjaro Airport and drive you across Arusha town to the Arumeru River Lodge.

Day 2 Arusha National Park
After a tasty breakfast you will be picked up from the lodge. An hour's drive will take you to Arusha National Park, a small but beautiful park offering a wide variety of spectacular landscapes at the foot of Mount Meru.
Arusha N.P. is special because it is one of the few parks in Tanzania where you have the opportunity to do a safari on foot. This opportunity to get down to ground level with the animals is something that should not be missed! It is very exciting to approach animals on foot and a totally different experience than game-viewing by car. The walking safari takes 2-3 hours during which you cross the Jekukumia River and visit a beautiful waterfall where you can take a refreshing ‘shower’. Lunch will be at a nice picnic spot and then in the afternoon, you continue your safari by vehicle.
At sunset, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Tarangire is best known for its many gigantic baobab trees and its large herds of elephants; it is a home to approximately 2,500 individuals and large herds are regularly viewed. You can also spot many different animals like leopard, zebra, impala, warthog, eland, buffalo, waterbuck and lion. Also the birders will have so much to see; more than 500 different bird-species are present.
Your guide will have a lunch-box for you so you can picnic at a beautiful spot in the park after which your safari continues. At the end of the safari you head for the Eco Science Luxury Lodge. This new and trendy lodge is a science centre as well. It is located on the edge of Tarangire National park at the centre of one of the migration roots to the Serengeti National park. Day 5 The Serengeti
In the early morning you enter Lake Manyara National Park. This is a small but very beautiful park offering breathtaking views, excellent game-viewing and an incredible array of birdlife. You have a chance to spot: zebra, baboon, warthog, giraffe, impala, elephant, hippo, wildebeest and the rare tree climbing lions.
Then the time has come for you to experience the most famous safari park: the Serengeti. The Serengeti National Park hosts the most extensive population of wild animals on earth and has a complex and untouched ecosystem. Serengeti means "endless plains" in the language of the Maasai, a description that the Serengeti completely lives up to. You visit the heart of the Serengeti, Seronera Valley. This valley might be termed as the ‘classic’ Serengeti; short grass plains with all different kind of wild animals ranging from the impressive lion to the naughty mongoose.
After the incredible impressions of the Serengeti, you will settle into a luxury tented camp, Mbuzi Mawe.

Day 6 Full day game drive in the Serengeti
Early in the morning you leave the camp for a full day safari! Most of the national park is open and grassy. Ultimately, the success of any safari lies in the number and quality of encounters with big cats. There are thousands of lions in the Serengeti and you have a fair chance to see cheetahs, although they are difficult to spot. And when it comes to leopards, the Serengeti rarely disappoints!
We will find you a nice picnic spot to enjoy your packed lunch and then you continue your safari back to Mbuzi Mawe where you have an excellent dinner and some time to relax.

Today you enjoy a long game drive on your way out of the beautiful Serengeti en route to the Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area. While driving to the exit of the park, there is still plenty of chances to spot wildlife, so keep your eyes open.
You will then continue to Karatu on the doorstep of the Ngorogoro crater which you will explore tomorrow. You will sleep in the luxury Acacia farm lodge overlooking the Ngorogoro forest. This trendy lodge has a nice large swimmingpool and spa centre to relax in the late afternoon.

Day 8 Ngorogoro Crater game drive
In the morning, you will have a game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater!
This UNESCO World Heritage Site offers a unique biosphere which has remained virtually unchanged since the dawn of time. There are very few places in the world where you can find such a large population of wildlife throughout the year. Deep within the crater, enclosed by towering walls, you have a good chance of spotting ‘The Big 5’: Lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard. For the latter two you need a bit of luck as they tend to shy away. Approximately 30,000 animals live on the crater floor!
You will have your packed lunch in the crater and then travel back to Arusha where you stay in a very pleasant and comfortable lodge just outside Arusha town near Lake Duluti. In the late afternoon you can go for a stroll around Lake Duluti or take a refreshing dip in the swimming pool.
