This amazing safari includes 4 nights at The Pangolin Chobe Hotel AND a full day trip to Victoria Falls on day three. The hotel is booked on a full board basis (all meals and drinks)and includes all our signature activities in the national park. We go into The Chobe National park on our custom built boats and vehicles looking for wildlife sightings and photo opportunities every morning and afternoon. We cater for safari enthusiasts and photographers of all levels of experience and ability.

Day 1-2 Pangolin Chobe Hotel

If arriving at Kasane airport then we will collect you and transfer you to The Pangolin Chobe Hotel which is a short 10 minute drive away. The hotel sits on the plateau overlooking the Chobe River and the Caprivi floodplains stretching away into the distance. The building is modern in design and centres around a triple volume wildlife photography gallery featuring images from around the world chosen to inspire you during your stay. There are 14 rooms in total over two floors each with their own private balcony. The rooms are spacious, en suite and air conditioned and configured as either double beds or twins (with both beds being doubles). Each morning and afternoon you will venture into the Chobe National Park on our specialised boats and vehicles to do some wildlife photography. You will be assisted by a photo host and if you don't have a camera and telephoto lens one will be supplied free of charge along with the memory cards for you to keep with your pictures.

Day 3 Victoria Falls Day Trip

On the third day you will be collected from the hotel in an air conditioned minivan to take you for a day trip to visit The Victoria Falls in neighbouring Zimbabwe. The drive takes approximately 1.5 hours part of which is through a game reserve so you may well see animals along the way too. Once you arrive at the falls you will be free to explore them on your own along the well signposted paths. Its a beautiful walk but make sure to take something waterproof as the spray from the falls can seem like a shower at times! After visiting the falls you will be collected and taken to have lunch at The Palm Restaurant at Ilala Lodge which is a short drive from the falls. The meal is included in the package but drinks are for your own account. After lunch there is time to visit a curio market to pick up a souvenir made by some expert carvers and artisans before heading back to The Pangolin Chobe Hotel in time for a dip in the pool and a sundowner in The Pangolin Bar.

Day 4 Pangolin Chobe Hotel

Your last full day of wildlife photography will start with either a photo boat cruise or game drive in the Chobe National Park. The order and number of different activities are decided upon while you are at the hotel and changed depending on the movement of animals and what sightings you are hoping to get. We are very flexible but being the Chobe and with the river being so special you will probably spend more time on the river than in the park. On each of the previous activities you will be learning more skills and techniques and by day four you will be taking amazing images and starting to get creative. The photo hosts will teach you at a pace that you feel confident at but by now you should have several full memory cards with amazing photos. Refreshments are served on each activity with delicious filter coffee and teas in the morning and cold alcoholic and soft drinks in the afternoon.

Day 5 Pangolin Chobe Hotel

On your last day you will be up just before sunrise for a last morning of wildlife photography in the Chobe National Park. You will return around 10am just in time to pack and enjoy one of our legendary brunches before heading on to your next destination. At Pangolin we offer a full range of pre and post extensions and have partnered with some amazing owner managed properties throughout the regions and as far as Cape Town. We have a team of expert travel planners who will be more than happy to send you details of all your options. If you are flying out of Kasane (either to connect with an international flight or a charter to another safari destination) we will have you at the airport in plenty of time. If needs be we can also arrange a late checkout, subject to availability.
