Day 1-4 Cape Town, Cape Point, Beaches & Table Mountain

Your journey begins in one of the world's most beautiful cities, Cape Town. Staying at the One&Only puts you in the popular V&A Waterfront - an easy stroll from restaurants, cafes, craft markets and the ferry to Robben Island. Set against a backdrop of Table Mountain, this urban chic resort has a lovely swimming pool area and an award-winning spa. To make the most of your time in Cape Town, we’ve arranged private guided tours around the city, scenic peninsula and the Constantia Valley. A few of the many highlights over the coming days include catching the cable car to the top of Table Mountain, looking down from Cape Point’s cliffs, exploring Kirstenbosch Gardens, and sampling award-winning wine at Groot Constantia. All these tours are included in your itinerary cost. And, being private, can be adapted and changed to suit you and your interests.

Day 5-6 Fine Food & Wine in the Franschhoek Valley

A private road transfer takes you from the One&Only to Leeu House in the Cape Winelands. Framed by vine-covered slopes and craggy mountain peaks, Franshhoek is famous for its gourmet food and (of course) its wines. At the heart of this pretty winelands town is Leeu House, a 12-room boutique hotel. Leeu House is a peaceful oasis, yet wander a minute or two down the road and you’ll find a choice of great places to eat. Also on hand is a driver who’ll happily take you to and from the nearby wine farms (at no extra charge). Once again we’ve included a private full-day tour. Go wine tasting on some of the Franschhoek estates and explore the oak-lined streets in neighbouring Stellenbosch. Find out more about wine making on a cellar tour, and have a leisurely lunch overlooking the vineyards. We’ve left plenty of time to browse the galleries and shops along the town’s main road, and for dinner book a table at one of South Africa’s top restaurants.

Day 7-9 Private Safari & Game Drives in the Sabi Sands

You’re transferred from Leeu House to Cape Town International Airport, to catch your flight to Skukuza Airport. Touch down in the Kruger Park, where you’ll be met by your guide and driven to Leopard Hills Game Reserve. Perched on a rocky outcrop, Leopard Hills is an award-winning luxury lodge with just 8 suites. Combine the thrill of Big 5 game viewing with the safari glamour of your glass-fronted suite with its inviting lounge, indoor and outdoor showers, private plunge pool and superb views over the African bush. Your expert ranger-and-tracker team will take you out on morning and afternoon game drives. The Sabi Sands reserve offers some of the best game viewing in Africa with regular sightings of lion, elephant, rhino and even the (normally) elusive leopard. In the evening your ranger will join you for dinner, so you can chat about the day’s sightings as you enjoy fine food and wine under a sky filled with stars.

Day 10-11 Luxury Tented Camp Close to Victoria Falls

In the morning, you’re driven to Kruger International Airport for your direct flight to Livingstone. The transfer to your lodge takes less than an hour, but since you’re crossing into Zimbabwe we recommend a KAZA Univisa (valid for both Zambia and Zimbabwe). The Elephant Camp lies on a private concession within Victoria Falls National Park, about a 20-minute drive from Victoria Falls. As the name suggests, this luxury tented camp is well known for its elephants: watch herds gather at the camp waterhole and interact with the rescued elephants at the wildlife sanctuary on the property. Free transfers take you into town for a tour of Victoria Falls, the largest sheet of falling water in the world! There's plenty to do around the falls from the scenic "Flight of Angels" helicopter flip to a sundowner cruise on the Zambezi River.

Day 12-13 River Safari On Board the Zambezi Queen

A road transfer takes you from The Elephant Camp to Kasane (Botswana), followed by a boat transfer to the Zambezi Queen (on the Namibian side of the river). This is Southern Africa's ultimate river safari and one that you'll want to repeat again and again. With unique game viewing opportunities, the Zambezi Queen allows you to relax in style as you take in the abundance of wildlife along the banks of the Chobe River. After arriving in the late afternoon, you can head out in a tender boat in search of big game (the golden glow at this hour is perfect for wildlife photography!). The next morning enjoy a leisurely start, before meeting for breakfast on the upper deck. You might choose to spend the day on the houseboat; set off for more game viewing or try your hand at fishing for tiger fish. The day ends with a superb three-course dinner paired with a selection of wines.

Day 14 Back to Joburg for Your Flight Home
