Day 1-2 Victoria Falls

Upon arrival at Victoria Falls International Airport, you will be met by a representative of Ilala Lodge who will take you the short distance to the lodge and help you check into your deluxe room. This charming hotel is very close to the Falls themselves and is an easy 10-15 minute walk on a path that takes you along the Victoria Falls. Just remember to take something waterproof to wear as the spray from the Falls can make it seem like you are in a rainstorm at times. The next two days are packed with time to visit the town of Victoria Falls, a lovely place to explore with its curio shops and local street artisans to barter with. The famous Victoria Falls Hotel is a wonderful place to pop into for afternoon tea and is a throwback to the Victorian era. Helicopter flights and other activities can be added to this part of your tour. Later in the evening you will return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3-5 The Chobe National Park

After breakfast, you will be picked-up from the lodge and drive to The Chobe National Park. Upon arrival, you will check-in at the Pangolin Chobe Hotel. The next three days will include a morning and afternoon cruise on the river or drive in the park. We will happily supply you with a state of the art DSLR camera and lens, if you need one. You will be hosted by one of our resident photo guides who will be on hand to help you make the best of every photo opportunity. We will supply you with all of the memory cards that you need and in between sessions you can view the images taken on our computers by the reception desk. The photo boats and vehicles take a maximum of eight people. We will try as much as we can to match clients together with similar photographic goals and experience. Refreshments are served during the activities. During the day and in the evenings you are welcome to relax by the swimming pool or on your private balcony. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Day 6-8 Okavango Delta

After breakfast, you will check-out and drive to the airport for a flight to the Bushman Plains camp in the Okavango Delta. This rustic camp, hidden on the edge of a tree-lined island, is a favourite spot in Botswana. Like Pangolin, the camp is owner managed and does away with all the unnecessary frills so that you can concentrate on the wildlife experience. The next three days will have you staying in guest tents at the camp with a central dining area, lounge and campfire, of course, to enjoy after dinner under the beautiful Jackalberry trees and ultimately the African night sky. You will have twice daily game drives (4 per vehicle only - day and night) and a not to be missed game walk where your Bushman guide will take time to explain the flora and fauna that you come across. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at camp. Please note that unlike Pangolin Chobe Hotel there are no cameras available and you will have to have your own photographic gear for this part of the safari.

Day 9 Okavango Delta - Maun

On your final day, you will have time for a short game drive in the morning. After the drive you will return for a hearty brunch and then the drive back to the airstrip to connect with your charter flight. We are more than happy to organise onward journeys to other regional safari destinations like Madikwe, The Central Kalahari, Tuli Block (Mashatu) or maybe into the salt pans of the Mgadigkadi. By far the most popular destination, however, is onwards to Cape Town as there are daily flights from Maun and within a few hours, you can be enjoying a view of the ocean and Table Mountain. This is where your safari will end.
